Our Unpresidential President

In a fit of pique, I hastily posted on a more prominent site "Oh my God, that Jackass is doubling down..."

I later replied to my own post. "It's been arguable until now that he is an idiot. The argument is over."

The current occupant of the White House utterly blew it with his first reaction to the horrifying events that transpired in Charlottesville, VA. After being informed by, oh, EVERYONE that his initial reaction was, at best, ambiguous, he issued a statement that sounded more like a president should sound, though doubts of his sincerity were numerous and justified.

And then he had the audacity to speak about his speaking and not only managed to undo the microscopic good he achieved with his forced mea culpa, but backpedalled in a real way.

This man is not our president. For damned sure, he isn't mine.

To align the clear-and-present haters with the good-minded people who were present only to remind the world that hate is evil, is evil.

Get this, Mr. Not President: as I mentioned before, everyone, and I mean EVERYONE has told you that you are wrong in this. You are on the wrong side. Your position is wrong. What you said at first was wrong. What you didn't say at the same time was even more wrong. And what you said today was even more wrong than that previous even more wrong. You are wrong.

I believe that this has likely been a turning point. I believe that this time, you have dug yourself a hole that you cannot get out of.

The fallout from your little tantrum today should finally alienate you from every citizen of this Great Country who has a conscience or a soul. You won't believe this, but that really is most of us.

I wish you good luck in your next endeavor. No, actually, I really don't.
